Katrina Kaif-Most Searched, Viewed and Downloaded

So, while not much seems to be happening at the box office these days, a certain top three of a different kind has emerged, albeit a top three of no particular order! The average internet user is a finicky sort. He or she may start out with a search, view something that he hadn’t intended to view and download something totally different!
In the not-too-distant past, Katrina Kaif was declared to be the ‘Most Viewed’ Bollywood actress online, while last year, a popular search engine declared her to be the winner of the ‘Most Popular Celebrity Search From India’. “Internet is the best way to connect with your fans and it’s popular with the kids and teens,” said the hottie. But hang on! Before you add to her page hits, even though the other kinds of hits may not be as numerous, there’s news that a rival search engine recently declared the petite Deepika Padukone to be the ‘Most Searched’ Bollywood actress. So is this collective love or confusion? “Oh wow, really? I’m thrilled for sure. It’s definitely a happy feeling, but I’ve a long way to go… lot to achieve for myself. I’m really surprised and flattered by the online audience’s response. It inspires me to work harder,” purred Deepika, when she received the honour.
The Battle of the Internet Search also has no gender bias. Shahid Kapur has taken the lead among the young actors. According to a recent survey, Shahid is the most searched name among the young actors, surpassing the likes of Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan.
And while the clicks and misses fly thick and fast, another front opens on this battlefield – that of ‘Most Downloaded’! Actress Celina Jaitley recently was accorded the credit of being the Most Downloaded. No doubt, steaming up those computer monitors and heating up hard drives in the process! But let’s not forget the saucy Sherlyn Chopra, whose own willingness to fling off her clothes in every compass direction when in front of a camera ALSO accorded her the title of Queen of the Internet Downloads. “I’m aware of my effect in the web world. It feels awesome when the universe embraces you for what you are and motivates you for what you can be… my universe is the Internet,” said Sherlyn.
But when the talk veers around to cellphones, a whole new world emerges. According to a recent survey, Katrina Kaif’s pictures are one of the most downloaded amongst female Bollywood actors. She has left Aishwarya far behind. And, you guessed it, prior to Katrina, it was Aishwarya who wore these laurels! So, before you tempt fate with carpal tunnel syndrome with all that clicking, there’s just one request. Will the real Internet Queen please stand up and be counted… er, we mean downloaded?
