Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat:

Mallika Sherawat is the new sex symbol in Bollywood. Earlier known as Reema Lamba, this punjabi girl made waves in filmdom when she starred in 'Khwahish' where she had seventeen kissing scenes with her co actor.
The Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Murder' brought her much fame and turned her into a pin up girl. She's best known for her push up bras and bold quotes.
Mallika Sherawat is a divorcee, having gone through a failed marriage with Karan Singh Gill, a pilot. She was an air hostess briefly and that's how she's supposed to have met him. Mallika has a child from her marriage.
Mallika Sherawat has worked with actor Dharmendra in 'Kis Kis Ki Kismat' a 2004 movie that was earlier offered to Rishi Kapoor. The movie didn't work at the box office. Later she starred in 'Bach ke Rehna Re Baba' with Rekha. This was heavily inspired by the movie 'Heartbreakers' starring Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt. 'Bach ke Rehna Re Baba' also failed at the box office. Mallika Sherawat's only real successful movie to date has been 'Murder' but she continues to attract a lot of attention and get media coverage.
She's worked with Jackie Chan in 'Myth' and in early 2007 in 'Guru', directed by Mani Ratnam. It starred Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Madhavan and Vidya Balan in important roles. It also had Mithun Chakraborty in a supporting role. Mallika's 'Maiya Maiya' was a major draw and largely responsible for the movie's success.
Mallika Sherawat is doing an item number on Himesh Reshammiya's Bollywood debut, 'Aap ka Suroor'. She is reportedly charging Rs.1.5 crores for the ten minute dance.
