B.R. Ishara touched Rehana, made 'Chetna' and she became a star. They fell in love and married. He discovered another girl - Reena Roy for his next film, 'Zaroorat'. The film had all the hot scenes and thought- provoking, bold lines Ishara was famous for and Reena became known as 'Zaroorat' girl. Reena Roy's Indian looks, however, did not allow her an Oomph Girl image and she did the usual family films ('Jaise Ko Taisa', 'Vardan', 'Apnapan'), multistarrers like 'Nagin' and several films with Shatrughan Sinha ('Kalicharan', 'Sangram', 'Paapi', 'Bhookh', 'Heera Moti', 'Muqabla') including his home production, 'Vishwanath', which put both of them in a different league. Sinha was a successful villain who was struggling to become a hero. After hesitating between Reena and Poonam (another of his heroines) he married Poonam. The heart-break may have pained Reena but the quality of her work improved as could be seen in the hit of J. Om Prakash : Asha (1980). The pain in her eyes as she mouthed ('Sheesha Ho Ya Dil Ho, Toot Jaata Hai') and even completed 'Naseeb', a film with Shatru (Zindagi Imtihan Leti Hai'), which was noticed by all. She found herself an anchor in Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan and married him. Mohsin had starry ambitions and acted in films like 'Saathi' and 'Batwara' but did not click. The couple shuttled between India and Pakistan for some time and later split. Reena returned to films to play bhabhi roles.
