Transworld Publishers said the girl's book will tell the story of her life in the shantytown where she grew up.
Danny Boyle cast 9-year-old Rubina and Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, 10, in a movie about an orphan from Mumbai's slums who wins India's version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire".

The filmmakers set up a trust aimed at ensuring the children get proper homes, a decent education, a monthly stipend and a nest egg when they finish school.
Madeline Toy at Transworld Publishers said on Friday that "Slumgirl Dreaming: My Journey to the Stars" will be published in Britain in mid-July. She said both Transworld Publishers and Random House Children's Books will publish the book at the same time. Both companies are units of Random House Group Ltd.
Toy said all royalties will go to Rubina and Médecins du Monde, a French medical aid organisation.
